Can Tasers kill you?

One of the most versatile new-age weapons that fall under the protection banner is stun guns/tasers. They are very painful and In fact, deadly too.
According to a study in 2012, taser can be deadly if the shock is given to or near the chest area because many people with a weak heart can have a cardiac arrest that causes sudden death.

The study took records of eight people who got cardiac arrest after being tased and, unfortunately, seven of eight died.
