Are paintball guns legal?

It is illegal to carry fully loaded paintball guns with you, especially in public places, like it is banned. However, anyone (adult) can legally own a paintball gun if he or she does not have a felon history. Typically the paintball guns are assumed to be airsoft or airgun. So any airgun or BB laws can be applied to paintball gun too. It is up to a person what he thinks of legal, like if a person owns a gun for his self-defense and hobby, as long as it is not harming anyone, there is no problem.
It is not recommended for children less than eight years old to be near or use a fully functioning paintball gun for safety reasons. An adult should always accompany kids under 14 years of age who want to play the game.
